Another Quote =]
When you reach for the stars you may not quite get one, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.
Poor Ah-Meng =[
Ah Meng’s departure caused many people to be sad as they remembered her as not an animal but as a friend or a family. I was also shocked that Ah Meng died when I saw the news, I felt like, how was this possible? Ah Meng seems to be the icon of the Singapore zoo, when people talk about the zoo, it is always zebras, lions, tigers and Ah Meng. She represented Singapore and was the one and only. One of which no one could replace. I could feel like part of something is missing when I saw the news that Ah Meng died, it’s like something I have known since young is now gone. Stories of Ah Meng has been circulating around ever since I was a kid, I had taken her for granted like she would forever remain the icon of Singapore and the Ah Meng everyone loves. I never thought she would die. I just feel that the zoo is not right without her. If someone had to replace Ah Meng, I would think it would be Chomel, her granddaughter. Although she is not Ah Meng and will never be, but at least she is Ah Meng’s granddaughter and we could commemorate our beautiful and most loved Ah Meng. Ah Meng will forever be in the history of the Singapore Zoo and never forgotten in our hearts or the zoo.

Journal (If I had $100,000)
Mdm Hayati's assignment on journal. If I had $100,000
If I had $100,000 I would give $20,000 to each of my parents for caring for me since young. I would also give $1000 to my sister to let her get herself something for New Year. Since she is young she wouldn’t need that much money anyway. I would also spend $2000 on a chalet so that all my relatives can gather and have a great celebration for New Year. Then I would also donate the rest of all my money to charity as I think we should help the less fortunate and since this money is an extra so I should take the chance to spend it on people who really need the money more then we do on those meaningless computer games, games and our own greedy wants. We should learn to care for those who are less fortunate then us for example those who are physically disabled, those with painful diseases and those fend less children and old folks the number of this people who need help is such a large number yet those who are willing to help are so little compared to those who actually need help. So, most of my additional money will be given to charity to help those who really need help.

CNY Holidays =] (A Bore)
Mdm Hayati told us to write a journal, so here it is...
My Chinese New Year holiday was not that out of the ordinary. It was pretty simple. Like how normal New Year celebrations goes. The usual routine over and over again yearly. We visit my aunts and uncles, grandmother and grandfather. Very boring. But since this is a journal I will try to spice things up. Hmm… I’ll start with the reunion dinner. We had a lot of food but I couldn’t really eat much on that day as I did not feel quite right. So I only ate some side-dishes and drank some soup, but it was still enjoyable. On the first day of New Year, I woke up at around 8am. We set off only at around 11am so I was bored for around an hour or so. Well then it was the visiting of my relative’s houses and the wishing them of a prosperous New Year kind of thing. There were lots of goodies but I did not really like New Year goodies that much. Well that’s about it. New Year is just another typical New Year for me nothing that surprises anyone or anything just simple. Happy New Year Anyway!!!

Quote Of The Day
This is todays quote:
"There are times when I think that the ideal library is composed solely of reference books. They are like understanding friends-always ready to meet your mood, always ready to change the subject when you have had enough of this or that." Quoted from Donald J. Adams =]

Title: A Special Meal
It was a cheerful morning as the sun shone brightly above the pinkish horizon. I awoke from my sleep and lazily sat up and stretched a bit. Then the phone rang breaking the silence. I went to answer the annoying phone and I let out a squeal.
I dashed into my parent’s room barging through doors and dodging the toys that my sister had left on the floor. I barged into the room and shook my parents up and shouted, “Aunt just called. Can we please go to her wedding anniversary? Please?” Mom pondered upon the thought for quite awhile and decided to finally grant me permission and to bring us out. I was so ecstatic that I jumped around the whole house asking mom if we could leave every five minutes. She was so annoyed with me that she decided to bring me out to keep my mouth shut. We finally reached our destination that I could feel my feet tingling. The thought of my cousins, my aunt’s anniversary and the food, I could not wait for a second more. Our car was finally parked amongst the load of cars that filled the whole car park as it was a weekend, so the car park was unsurprisingly full.
I stepped into the restaurant and with great anticipation I waited for the waitress to usher us to the seats that our aunt had booked. I saw my aunt with joy spread over her face seating at her table and tinge of class and elegance along with the modern design. I immediately gave my aunt my best wishes for her wedding anniversary and wished her an everlasting I was really stunned by the elegance of the restaurant’s interior design. It had a slight marriage. Then, when my cousin came, we went to take the food. Amongst the spread of buffet, I picked the noodles as they looked appetizing. I tasted them and could feel the pleasant sense of satisfaction and delight rising inside of me. My taste buds were tingling at the taste of such great food. I finished it in a jiffy as I could not wait for more food as just the noodles alone tasted so great I could not imagine what the rest would taste like. The meat in the noodles was so succulent!
I piled my plate up with food that tantalized me with their mouth-watering sight and smell.
I then went to my seat and gobbled the food up with great delight each making me smack my lips in anticipation for the next. I then went to try some dessert and it was such a hard decision to make as all of them were so enticing. I chose the cake as I had a liking for sugary stuff. It was exquisitely designed and I could not even bear to bite it.
It was finally time to leave and I kissed my aunt goodbye. The meal was so wholesome and palatable. We went home with the feeling of content lingering in ourselves.
